Course Overview

Regardless of the project management methodology employed, careful consideration must be given to the overall project objectives, timeline, and cost, as well as the engagement of stakeholders.

This course is structured to reinforce key project competencies, promote good project design habits and provide tools and techniques designed to enhance project outcomes.

Expected Outcomes

  • High level understanding and implementation of key project activities including how to generate influential project briefs, business case, stakeholder management, and stage planning.
  • Review the PRINCE2 framework in which to execute your projects.
  • Understand and utilise a systematic procedural approach to designing, controlling and managing all project phases.
  • Understand the people management competencies essential to deliver project outcomes.

Please note this is not an accrediated PRINCE2 course.

Who Should Attend this Course

Project managers and team members wanting to build on their existing fundamental project management skills to control, monitor and manage the project from the initial design process through to the final close and review process. Anyone who is currently using or will in future be using the Prince2 project management methodology.

The Structure of Prince2
Learn about the three integrated elements of principles, themes and processes within the specific project environment.

Stakeholder Analysis and Engagement
How to win the support of others and build the support required for success across the project lifecycle.

Starting up a Project
Ensure that all prerequisites are in place in order to make an informed decision about commencing a project and use the Business Case to document the justification for undertaking a project.

Identify and Manage Risk
Learn the criteria to be observed when managing internal and external risks and gain practical tools for analysing, monitoring and reviewing risks throughout a project.

Initiating a Project
