Course Overview

Leadership is about making people want to achieve their goals and is about influencing rather than telling.

Expected Outcomes

  • Differentiate what it takes to be a leader as opposed to a manager.
  • Define the essential characteristics of a true leader.
  • Understand emotional intelligence and how Emotional Intelligence (EI) relates to leadership.
  • Be able to focus less on traits and more on relationships.
  • Understand the different types of leadership power what this is based on.
  • Identify in what circumstances to use different types of influencing styles.
  • Understand the different generations and how this influences your approach to leadership.
