Excel tip: Make an interactive button bar with Power View

Power View is used to examine and analyse data and is just one of the features you will learn about in our Excel Advanced Data Analysis course.

To create an interactive filter in Power View:

  • Navigate to Power View Fields on the right hand side.
  • To add an interactive filter, or a Tile, select one of the fields and drag it into the Tile By area under the field list. This creates a clickable set of buttons to filter the data.
  • From the Design tab > select Tile Type > Tile Flow, to make the buttons appear in a flowing style of buttons below the table.

That’s how easy it is to make an interactive button bar for filtering data in Power View.
